If you want an aesthetically challenged fish for free you've come to the right place.

Heart of the Ocean Starfish

Abstract Starfish Tab

(Don't forget to use the coupon code TAKE10 for 10% off your order this weekend!)

This is the first fish ever born on my torch.
He's really hard to photograph
what with his colorful metallic shimmeryness.
He's also not all that handsome.
But the more I look at his little face
the more I realize
he's a likable fella.

I'd like to find him a good home
with someone who doesn't see
every little flaw that I do,
so if you like him
leave him a little note in the comments.

I'll let him pick his favorite,
which means I'll pick my favorite
and it'll probably be you.

If it is I'll wrap him up with plenty of bubbles
and send him to your house next Saturday, k?

YAY GIVEAWAY!

Ready.
Set.
Love!

I think I broke my kidneys. Plural.

I know I turned 42 this year, but I'm pretty sure my back isn't supposed to hurt so much that I want to crumple in on myself.  When I pointed out where it hurts my bestie who is not a nurse but would totally play one on TV said "kidneys"...and since I know as much about my own anatomy as a newborn platypus would I'm taking her word for it.  Mainly...ouch.

I still had to go grocery shopping this morning though because I got down to my last granola bar which if you are me is akin to having all the blood drained from your body ~ devil god vampire Bill style.  (if you didn't see last week's True Blood, you'll see what I mean when you do.  And if you don't watch True Blood, how are we even friends?  I have clearly failed to appropriately explain the awesomeness to you.)

Anyway, cat litter was on the needed list and I don't mind telling y'all I cried a little when I picked up that 13 pounds to put it in my cart.  I cried again when I got to check out and had to lift it to get it on the belt.  When the girl behind the counter asked me if I would mind lifting it back into my cart because she had recently hurt her back, a piece of my inner child died.  That cat litter is now residing safely in the back of the Jeep where it will remain until someone who is not me takes it out.

I am quite able to sit without pain if I don't swivel in the chair at my torch, but if you own a swivel chair then you know swiveling while sitting in a swivel chair is like wearing your skin.  I'm adapting.

I'm also making beads, and if you put in the code TAKE10 at checkout you can save 10% on the new listings as well as the old.

Has it really been almost 3 weeks?

Real life jumped up and bit me on the bum this month so hard that I didn't even light the torch for over a week.  I'm glad that's over.

Dis Bird, Dos Beads

Custom set for a local client

Classics, loosely inspired by the wood bees who have set up residence in a cabinet on the carport.

You'll find the last 3 in my shop,
along with many more new listings
that will be available tomorrow.

Randomness.

I have a customer who asked if I would still honor the sale prices for her on Tuesday when she got paid, and since of course I will, darling! I figured I would go ahead and honor the sale prices for everyone through Tuesday.

20% off ALL listings, including those with newly reduced prices!  Coupon Code:  SAVE20
No minimum order required.  Studiojuls.com

All purchases thus far have already shipped or are going in today's mail, so mailman stalking can begin tomorrow.  Yay!

In other news, it has been raining here for 2 days.  That doesn't sound like a long time but when one is waiting on sunshine to take pics of new bead treasures 2 days is equal to 3 months which is why I am sitting here bouncing my left leg like a crackhead in withdrawal.  Patience, grasshopper, is not a virtue I come by naturally.

I gifted myself with a glass order over the weekend.  Nothing fancy~ just the staples of ivory and clear and silver wire and bead release and mandrels.  Because Mandrels!  As in after tomorrow my 32 bent ones will be replaced 40 NEW! STRAIGHT! SHINY ONES!  And that, my friends, is the very best $10 way into a lampworker's heart.

This Friday I am picking up Todd from the airport in Montgomery.  Y'all don't know Todd, so let me tell you about Todd.  He's an old friend from my high school years...the kind of friend who (when my high school sweetheart called and said he couldn't get leave to come home from Ft Hood) ran out and got a tux THREE DAYS BEFORE PROM...and then asked if we wanted a limo (which we already had, triple dated with my besties).   I haven't seen him in 25 years, but from our conversations over the past little while I am reminded of why we were such good friends back in the day.  He's all corporate-fied these days but is still the kind of people that make me happy to be one too.  Yay, Todd.

We might even discover some beach sand between our toes, and you should read that as gimmethatrightnow!

If a webstore is limited to 200 listings and you already have 200 listings but you also have 20+ new bead sets to list, how do you list that which needs to be listed without deleting the listings already listed?

First, you'll probably want to kick me in the shin for giving you a brain cramp with that title....but then...

You drastically mark down prices on existing bead sets and focals and you also offer a 20% off coupon on those sale prices, that's how.

Seriously.  I've reduced focal prices by as much as $8, set prices by as much as $5, AND added a coupon!

Coupon Code:  SAVE20

No minimum purchase required.  $4 flat rate shipping in the US.  $8 to Canada and Mexico.  $12 everywhere else.

I know, y'all.  I know.  But I mailed a 2 oz package to Canada last week to the tune of $12.18 and holy wow.  I'm meeting you in the middle so I hope we can still be friends.

Plus all the recently new listings are included in the sale...

because I love you like that.

Yes.

YOU.
